We strive to get your essential materials into your hands as efficiently as possible, so you can begin your creative work without delay.

Order Processing

All orders are processed within 1-2 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) from our workshop in Oakland, California.

Shipping Methods & Delivery Times

We offer two primary shipping options to serve our global community of makers (service excludes some remote regions in Asia and other specified areas):

  • Standard Shipping – $12.95
    Shipped via DHL or FedEx. Delivery typically occurs within 10-15 business days after shipment.
  • Free Shipping
    Available on orders over $50. Shipped via EMS. Delivery typically occurs within 15-25 business days after shipment.

You will receive a tracking notification via email once your order is on its way. Please note that delivery times are estimates and can be affected by factors beyond our control, such as customs processing.

Returns & Exchanges Policy

We stand behind the quality of our raw materials and tools. However, we understand that sometimes a piece may not align with your vision. Our policy is designed to be fair and straightforward.

1. Eligibility

To be eligible for a return or exchange, the item must meet all of the following criteria:

  • In its original, unused, and unaltered condition.
  • In the original packaging, including all protective wrappings, labels, and documentation.
  • A return request is initiated within 15 days of the date you received the shipment.
  • Accompanied by the original proof of purchase (order number).

2. Non-Returnable Items

In the spirit of our craft and for the safety of our community, the following items are considered final sale:

  • All Custom-Cut or Finished Items: Any wood blank, block, or material that has been cut, shaped, finished, or otherwise altered from its original state as sold.
  • Used or Sharpened Tools & Blades: For safety and hygiene, any knife blade, carving tool, or sharpening supply that shows signs of use, wear, or has been sharpened.
  • Clearance or “As-Is” Items: Any item clearly marked as such in the product description.
Analysis Note: Our focus is on providing pristine raw materials for carving, turning, and knife-making. Once you begin working on a material—carving into a block, turning a blank on the lathe, or shaping steel—it becomes a unique part of your journey and cannot be resold or returned. This aligns with our craftsmanship ethos and practical safety concerns.

3. Step-by-Step Return/Exchange Process

  1. Initiate Your Request: Within 15 days of receipt, email our support team at [email protected] with your order number and details.
  2. Receive Instructions & RMA Number: We will review your request. If eligible, we’ll provide a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and detailed shipping instructions. Returns sent without an RMA cannot be processed.
  3. Package and Ship: Securely package the item(s) in their original packaging. Include a copy of your RMA email or write the RMA number clearly on the box. Ship to:

    Important: You are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error (e.g., wrong item shipped). We recommend using a trackable service (DHL, FedEx, EMS) and retaining your proof of postage.

  4. Inspection & Resolution: Once received, our team will inspect the item within 3-5 business days.
    • For Exchanges: We will ship the replacement promptly. Standard or free shipping will apply based on the original order value.
    • For Refunds: We will initiate the refund to your original payment method.

4. Refund Timeline & Method

Upon approval of your return:

  • Timeline: Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days after we confirm the returned item’s condition. Please allow an additional 5-10 business days for the refund to appear in your account, depending on your bank or payment provider.
  • Method: Refunds are issued to the original payment method used for purchase (Visa, MasterCard, JCB, or PayPal). Shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.

5. Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged or you receive an incorrect item, please contact us at [email protected] within 48 hours of delivery. We will arrange a prepaid return label and expedite a replacement or refund at no cost to you.
